Vernazza new birth from the mud

Finally, after days of work and first despair, we are seeing Vernazza arising from the mud. All Via Roma has been freed from debris and cute Santa Marta Chapel as well. The pavements tiles that so many people walked on can now be seen again as steps in front of the Farmacia and Pizzeria al Taglio, where I, as many other tourist, used to sit and have a quick snack.

We won’t deny there’s still a lot to do…and energies will be needed as well as funds…so we once again ask for the effort of many Vernazza lovers to help these people to clean and restore their houses and stores. Here instructions for those who want to send a financial help.

The money collected will be spent right here to help those who have lost their businesses, their homes, and right now are struggling to get by, and to help with the cleaning and reconstruction of the village .
