New Alert for Cinque Terre area, inland villages and Lunigiana

New alert for Cinque Terre Villages, Vara Valley villages and and Lunigiana from Friday Nov 4th until Sunday morning Nov 6th.

Rainfalls hit today Genoa already and there were 7 victims, women and children, yesterday in the main town of Liguria, whose centre was entirely flooded.

Vernazza and Monterosso have been evacuated as Borghetto Vara, Pignone, Memola and brugnato as well. The afternoon of Nov 4th hd a few raindrops while the sea was extremely rough but everybody is scared now and as precautional act even Portovenere Town Hall declared Alert and recommended people to stay home and occupy the upper floor of their houses.

This morning heavy rains fell on La Spezia and nearby areas, the food market has been evacuated as other tiny villages in Vara Valley, Boccapignone and Stagnedo.

In the meantime, for all those who want to help Vernazza, an association has been created, for all those who love Vernazza, love Humanity Heritage sites like this one, unique and charming and want to help with a donation so to allow reconstruction
